In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Gen.1:1-2

If we could humbly admit that the beginning of something starts with God then maybe we could admit that we need desperately to get back to the beginning with wisdom of the Creator. If only we could see our greatest need is to know our Creator as Father. Life without knowing God’s original intent is always without form, it has no true value until we can see it from God’s point of view.
Nothing takes shape without knowing the truest essence of its original purpose of being. The earth was without form, and void. Sounds like my life before knowing who I was in Christ, Who was and is the Light of the world. He’s the One that brings meaning into being, light out of darkness; He fills the emptiness of life with life that overflows all preconceived ideas.
He makes sense out nonsense, and causes light to shine to such a degree that darkness cannot overcome it, for the Master of creation causes each to take their rightful place. They cannot co-exist for when God created them He assigned each a place to reign. Just like with us, we were created to be in His image and likeness and to rule and reign over that which He has created.
As we behold His awesome handiwork in creation itself we can only dream of becoming what His original purpose for our lives was before sin entered the world. The Spirit of God is still moving upon the face of the deep things of God. Drawing beauty from the deepest pits of failures and despair, and causing his glory to shine in spite of mishaps of life.
The question today is not what happen to you, but why not allow the Creator of heaven and earth to bring meaning, where there was none, fullness where there was a void, light where there was darkness, and deliverance from the deep pits of ignorance? Would you allow Him to do that for you today?
