A Church that Prevails!!!
Matthew 16:18 – And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Were told in Hos.4:6 that God’s people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge, and we’re told why they lacked knowledge; because they rejected te teaching of God’s word and they refused to obey His commandments.
Today most Christians feel that sin is drinking, doing drugs, fornication, and adultery. We have lowered the standard of sin and have made sins our focus. But when we look at the Word of God and see his view of sin it is quite different from our view.
First we think sin started in the Garden of Eden when in reality it started in heaven itself, in the very presence of God. A war broke out in heaven when satan and his angels rebel against God, and was cast out of heaven to earth. At that time we were warn of God that the devil hath come down having great wrath, for he knows that his time is short.
His greatest weapon is to cause us to doubt God’s word just like he did in heaven, when he caused a third of the angels to follow him and his teaching to rebel against the word of God, which is his perfect will concerning those of us who have believed. To be a prevailing church we must believe the Word of God completely.
